We headed out for our favorite "easy" breakfast - a sausage, egg and cheese biscuit at Hardees (a.k.a. Carl's Jr. out west). On the way down the hill from the campground (Silver View RV Resort in Bullhead City, AZ) we found this coyote who calls the hill home. He didn't seem to be bothered by our car, or our car stopping, or the window rolling down for pictures. When Sam finally saw him and started barking he still wasn't bothered. I'm pretty sure I also saw some roadrunners when we first stopped. Joani was very excited at the prospect of a picture with both Wiley Coyote and two roadrunners. Later, viewing the image on the computer she found they were quail. The coyote had no interest in the birds, so now I question the whole basis of the Road Runner cartoons.
He outlasted us - we finally moved on leaving him to his foraging along the road. We will have to see if we can hear him howl at the moon.
