Today was a lazy day, mostly reading in between walks with Sam. It was another day with nearly perfect weather - sunny, but not too hot. Late in the afternoon, I noticed clouds starting to pile up in the east. As they got thicker and started moving across more of the sky, the sun sinking in the west bathed them with brilliant color.
Amazingly, we never got the slightest hint there could be any rain in our immediate future. We had been parked at River Rim RV for nearly three weeks with no rain, so we were certainly due, but it was not to be.
