We hope to spend more time at the Grand Canyon in a few years, but today it was time to move along. Our drive was an easy 129.6 miles (82,162.2 miles total), east along I-40 to the Sun Valley RV Park (formerly, Root 66 RV Park - yes, that is how they spelled it) in Sun Valley, AZ. There was not much to the town of Sun Valley, but its location near the Petrified Forest National Park and the Painted Desert made it work for us.
The cool breezes (averaging a zippy 22 mph) and comfortable furniture made the "resort" porch pretty relaxing.
