Wednesday, September 18, 2013, Drive Up the Umpqua River, CO

It was a much better day weather-wise to visit Crater Lake National Park, OR, but we opted to wait another day to be sure and instead just drove along the Umpqua River for about 30 miles to soak up the beautiful scenery. We stopped at just about every turn-out. We hiked down to the water in a lot of places.

We could see the huge fish in the river from an overlook. Yet, the fishermen on the rocks below were not having any luck.

Since we were planning on a return trip to Crater Lake tomorrow, we decided to head back to the coach early.
