We hiked the Prairie Loop Trail in Kissimmee Prairie Preserve, FL, for a total of 5.9 miles today. It was overcast and had rained earlier so we were lucky we made it home without getting soaked.
We started our day with a beautiful sunrise over the prairie.
(When you come across an oak hammock there is often surprising beauty.)
Spotted a drainage ditch and thought it was prime for some wildlife - sure enough, we saw a lone gator less than 20 feet from the trail.
