Not being gamblers, we opted to simply walk along the strip and take in the sites, the architecture and the people. Las Vegas, NV, is certainly "over the top" on all of these counts!
Luxor took the prize for the most unique hotel and casino. 4,400 rooms line the 30 story pyramid.
The Egyptian theme is carried out inside and also houses a King Tut museum.
We walked through Excalibur expecting to see Micky Mouse hiding behind a slot machine.
The inside looked a little less Disney and a little more King Arthur.
The mall at Aria deserved a second look on our way to Bellagio's water show.
The dancing water at the Fountains of Bellagio was by far my
favorite free attraction in Vegas.
This Dale Chihuly composition, covering 2000 square feet,
adorns Bellagio's lobby.
2000 hand-blown glass flowers
Chihuly also had a galley in the Bellagio. This bowl can be yours for a mere $3000.
"Fall of Atlantis" show at the Forum Shops at Caesar's Palace deserved a second viewing.
The spiral escalator at the Forum Shops at Caesar's is one of only two in the world.
Peter Lik, another photographer that blew us away.
I lost track of exactly how far we walked and it was by no means an aerobic workout, but it must have been nearly four miles of wandering. It was way past my normal bedtime (after 11:00 when we returned to the car!) so we headed home.
