I didn't want to wait too late and risk traffic, but we also couldn't leave too early - we only had a 7.6 mile trip (69,692.2 total) to Fort Casper Campground (Passport America again-Yay!).
Behind our site was a natural area that was to become a park someday running along the north fork of the Platt River. Sam and I found it a pleasant place for his walks.
We discovered the turn signals were not working (same fuse blew again,) which was no surprise since I had not really done anything to address WHY the fuse had blown. Stalkups RV supply was just a few miles from the campground. They had just about everything you could need for an RV - I think their selection was wider even than a Camping World. After an extensive search, they finally found only one fuse, so I took it.
The buildings along several blocks of the street had been restored creating a nice little historic district, so we walked for a while. An interesting studio/gallery caught our eye and we went in to explore.
Troubleshooting the fuse would just have to wait.
The sculpture on the front of the unassuming building pulled us in.
Talent mixed with whimsy makes for a fun gallery to explore.
Sometimes you have to think big. Huge oak slabs mixed with mirror definitely made a statement.
This fireplace used gas logs vertically, I love it!
Shawn Rivett's large format photography was very impressive. (I did ask permission to take pictures.)
Yes, it's the bathroom, but it was oozing with creativity.
The vessel sink was made from petrified wood.
The gallery owner's family owns a recycling business. What a great symbiotic relationship!
The gallery hosts a few other artists. This mixed media piece, by Janet Zambai, tickled me.
