Thursday, November 28, 2013, Thanksgiving With Bob and Richard, Santa Cruz, CA

Diane and Mike, Richard's good friends and neighbors, graciously invited Bob, Joani and I into their beautiful home for a Thanksgiving feast.

Diane is an amazing cook.

I love listening to Bob's and Richard's stories.  Darian, Richard's daughter, prefers to avoid the camera, but we enjoyed her company!

Mike carved the turkey like a pro!

Great food, good friends (old and new), very good wine and hours of lively conversation made for a memorable day. Thank you again, Diane and Mike, for including us!

Bob, safe travels back to Georgia!

Apple-Cranberry Galette, Chocolate Pie, and Peach Pie (the best I've ever had)
WORTH EVERY CALORIE!!!

  2. Thanks, Loren! We're happy it's over, too. Blogger turned your post into a hyperlink, but there is a space between Roving and cats. It took me a while to realize the fan page to the Broadway play Cats was not you! I had quite a laugh! I did make it to your page, Rovingcats.blogspot.com, and enjoyed the antics of Thelma and Louise. I am caught up and looking forward to your next post. I hope your Thanksgiving was as memorable as ours! We are trying to figure out how to make Christmas special. Skyping with the kids will help, but Christmas without family will be a challenge.

    Safe travels, Joani

  3. Holidays are always tough. That is one reason we are volunteering at Escapees Care for Dec. We will spend Xmas with 38 elderly people, that for the most part, appreciate our being their.
