Tuesday, November 5, 2013, Sunset at Shell Beach, CA

Today the low tide was nearly coincident with sunset and it was lower than average. Both good reasons to return to Shell Beach, CA, to walk among the tide pools. Our focus was on the light and color this time rather than the sea life since the sun sets quickly.

The face of this rock looks like a road map.

This is an HDR that David shot in pretty low light. It has the feeling of an old drawing.

Colors come alive just before sunset.
