Sadly, it was time to leave Yellowstone.  Helena, MT is just about half way to Glacier National Park and Joani's research found several things to explore while we are there.  We made nearly the whole drive on secondary roads (no Interstate) and found it to be a pleasant 188.9 miles (8,447.1 trip/67,928.2 total).

The scenery along Hwy 287 was nice and the road was big-rig friendly.

Although threatening rain all around us, it was a very pleasant, albeit warm, evening (15 degrees warmer here than in West Yellowstone).

Next to the RV Park is a nice pathway along an irrigation canal.  It's a good place to walk Sam and it turned out to be a nice place to view our first Helena sunset.
