Sunday, January 12, 2014, Move to Casa Grande, AZ

OK, we really did have some significant driving to do today, so we were up and out early while everyone else was headed for their morning coffee and doughnuts at the FMCA Rally, Riverside County Fairgrounds in Indio, CA. We left the rally and headed to Casa Grande, Arizona. We made the 292.3 miles (6,457.7 trip/65,938.8 total) in just over six hours. The entire trip was along I-10 so there was not anything tricky about it.

We passed through Quartzsite and saw a landscape full of RVs boondocking. One day we may stop in to experience the winter escape fun.

As we made our way into Arizona we started seeing the tall, skinny cacti with arms - the classic Saguaro Cactus. There's a good reason for it to be the Arizona state symbol - it was everywhere and the tallest thing in the desert.
