Indian Waters RV Resort, Indio, CA, has several planned activities every day which has kept us busy, but usually, we did not think to take any pictures. As we were wrapping presents to brighten Christmas for some of the local mission kids, Joani reminded me about the camera. I only took a few of the volunteers, since we were essentially done by the time I got back to snap some pictures.
The park has a very nice exercise room with high-end equipment. I posed for the picture below - I don't want anyone to think I was actually exercising!
We were told the park has two resident Road Runners. This one passed by our site nearly every day and he did not like being stalked by the camera. When he decided we were too close, he was fast. I think they only run about 20 mph, but when a one-foot tall bird runs that fast he is just a blur!
We joined Jay and Donna and Keith and Pat in a tag-a-long to Happy Hour at the Jackalope Ranch. It was a very nice restaurant/bar loaded with atmosphere. A woodworking artist created the Harley below entirely of wood (including the pouch, seat and gloves that almost looked like leather).

Although it was cool, we sat outside between the fire pit and a big heater that kept us warm while we had a few drinks and appetizers. The outdoor seating area was large and beautifully landscaped. We will have to visit again during daylight hours to fully appreciate the place.
We got back to the park just in time for movie night. Ron and Beth hosted a movie night and made the popcorn - lots of popcorn! The movie was The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey. We had not seen it yet, so it was an unexpected pleasure. It was nearly three hours long, but now we can follow it up with part two, The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug (provided we find it in the theater).
