Wednesday, December 4, 2013, Sunset Point, Mt. Baldy, CA

Another beautiful day and no special plan, so we just drove around a bit and found a nice dog park where Sam made a friend.

They were doing the dog park dance.

If you click on any picture, it should bring up a full-screen slideshow.  If not, let me know and I'll troubleshoot it.

I noticed a spot on the map called Sunset Point.

So, we headed north on Mt. Baldy Rd and hung a left on Glendora Ridge Rd. and ...

... we were richly rewarded.

We could see Claremont below, drenched in a golden glow.  (I love that town).

We have to reduce our photos from 3500KB down to 350KB to prevent using up our free space on Blogger. It leaves some looking pretty grainy.

It was only 4:30 and the light was almost gone.

The golden glow had given way to a peach haze.

It was time to head home before darkness enveloped the mountain.

    1. It is! Talking to a local, the smog is no where near as bad as it was 30 years ago. You can see Mt. Baldy most of the year now.
